Do you hire outside the UK? What about working from another country?
At the moment, Fruugo employees work within the UK.

What is your interview process?
While the process for some roles might differ, m ost roles follow a 3-stage process:
- Intro call (30 mins): A phone call with Talent Acquisition. Here you will talk about your experience, what you’re looking for, and the role.
- Role interview: Lasting between 45-60 minutes, a video call offering deeper dive to the role's responsibilities with the hiring manager.
- Final stage: this could be either a panel interview with the people you’ll work closely with, or a discussion/presentation on a short task or case relevant to the job. We’ll then wrap up with a final conversation and plenty of time for your questions.
We’ll always tell you what’s coming next, what we’re assessing, and how to prepare.
-
Will my interviews be recorded?
We always believe in transparency, so we will let you know whether an interview will be recorded. In this case, we’ll be taking notes during the interview using Google’s note-taking tool. We do this to make the process as fair and consistent as possible as it helps us capture your answers accurately, avoid relying on memory, and ensure we don’t miss important details when we evaluate candidates. The notes are used only for interview assessment purposes and will be deleted after 6 months.
-
Will there be a task or assessment?
Sometimes, yes; but we keep it short, relevant, and respectful of your time. If there’s a task, we’ll explain why we use it, how long it should take, and what “good” looks like. Whenever possible, we’ll discuss your approach live rather than asking for lots of unpaid work.
-
When should I expect to hear from my application?
Thanks so much for applying; we really appreciate the time you’ve taken. We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to get back to you within 10 working days. If it’s taking a little longer (for example, around holidays), we’ll keep you updated. -
Do you provide feedback after interviews?
We try to, especially after later stages. Sometimes we can’t share detailed feedback (for example, when there are many applicants), but we’ll always aim to give a clear outcome and treat you with respect.
-
What should I be conscious of during my interview?
We’re smart-casual leaning casual. As all of our interviews take place online, we would advise you to be conscious of your background.
-
