POV: You got an interview!
Before your interview
Please spend a little time preparing so you can make the most of the conversation.
Read the job description 📰
Revisit the role details and make a note of anything you’d like to clarify. This is also a great chance to think about which parts of the role you’re most excited about and where you’ll make an impact quickly.
Research Fruugo 📝
Take a look at our website and learn what we do, who we serve, and how we operate. Think about how your experience connects to our business and what you’d want to improve, build, or contribute.
Get familiar with our values ℹ️
We’ll be assessing skills, but we also care a lot about how we work together. Please read through our values and come prepared to share examples of how you’ve demonstrated similar behaviours in past roles. This is also your chance to highlight why Fruugo feels like the best fit for you.
Prepare a few examples 👨🏻💻
Choose 2 to 3 real examples from your experience that show your strengths in areas relevant to the role. For each example, it helps to cover the situation, what you did, and the outcome.
Make sure your audio and video are working 🎙️
test your setup at least a day before your interview. If your app allows it, try to join the meeting link early to check your headset, microphone, and camera.
Let Us Know More About You
Tell us about you: A quick intro to who you are, what motivates you, and what you enjoy outside of work.
Why this role, why now: What about this opportunity is exciting to you, and what are you looking for in your next step?
Why Fruugo: What have you learned about us, how do our values resonate with you, and why do you think you’d thrive here?
What you’ll bring: How your skills and experience match the role and where you think you can add value early.
Your stretch areas: Two to three things you think may be challenging for you in this role and how you would approach them.
What appeals to you most: Two to three things that stand out as motivating or attractive about the role and the team.
No need to be nervous! A few hours before your interview, do something that calms you. Being collected will help you process the conversation better!
During the interview
We’ll ask questions about your experience and skills, and we’ll dive into real scenarios so we can understand how you think and work. It’s not intended to catch you out. It’s simply the best way for both sides to learn whether this is a strong match.
Bring your questions
Please come with questions for us. The interview is also your time to evaluate Fruugo. You might ask about the team, ways of working, expectations for the first 90 days, growth opportunities, or anything that matters to you in a new role.
We’re looking forward to meeting you.
